Carole Nyquist's
Autograph Book

During Ted Nyquist's racing career, his wife, Ruth, and daughter, Carole, were always at his side. As a young girl, Carole got to know many of the era's top drivers. These men and their families were Carole's extended family, as they traveled the country, competing from state to state, from Allentown to Indy.

Lucky for us, Carole started this autograph book during the 1946 racing season. In this book, Ted Horn, Joie Chitwood, Bill Schindler and other of the top open wheel drivers signed her book, often with a heart-felt personal note, to their young friend.

Racing was such a different sport in those days, long before it became the "industry" it is today. TVR sincerely thanks Carole for the opportunity to get a personal look into those special times.
