Leroy's Scrapbook
1950's

Editor's Note: TVR copied these pictures and notes directly from the pages of Leroy's scrapbook. Very little has been changed or edited. It just wouldn't be the same... If you know Leroy, he writes just like he talks. What follows are excerpts from his scrapbook, where he has very carefully documented his racing career. We've picked a selection of pages from each of the 3 decades he's competed during. From here on, its all in his own words.

At the age of 18, I got my start in racing. I had a 1936 Dodge that would run 65 in 2nd gear. I put roll bars in the car and ran in the Novice class, which was Strictly Stock... cars right off the road. I got the #68 from Fred Jones that ran in the Sportsman class. He was my favorite driver at that time.
I towed the 1936 Dodge with a 1941 Dodge.
