Can You Identify This Central PA Racing Legend?

As is the case for most any place where a racecar is stored and worked on, you'll usually find a group of young "wannabe's" hanging around, dreaming about the days when they'll grow up to be race car drivers. Racer Chris Miller's service station was no exception. We're not sure of the exact year, but the cars in the background should give you some idea. Late 50's, early 60's?

Here's the gang that hung around at Chris' garage, hamming it up for the camera and each wishing they could drive a racecar. Little did they know that one of them (the one sitting on top of the car) would actually grow up to realize his dream. He has enjoyed a very long and successful racing career, becoming one of Central PA's dirt track legends.

His smile hasn't changed any. Got an idea who it is yet?

He's raced and won in most every type of dirt car there is... Sprints, Midgets, Modifieds, Late Models, Sportsman, etc.

This "Iron Man" has raced everyone from the days of Weld & Opperman, to Kinser, Swindell and Wolfgang, to Rahmer and DeWease....

He's still racing very competitively today... Most of the guys he's racing now weren't even born yet when he started racing.

Got it figured out yet?

Nope... It's not Smokey, or Kauffman, but they all had many a great race together.

Give up yet?
